Dr. Hua Shen is a Professor of Biology in the Department of Biology. She received her Ph.D at the University of British Columbia in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Her research interest is in environmental pathogen detection, drug resistant bacteria, bacteriophage control of bacteria, and bacterial nitrogen fixation.
