Open to juniors, seniors, and 2011 and 2012 graduates, Humanity in Action is an international educational organization whose goal is to educate, inspire and connect a global network of students and young professionals who are committed to promoting human rights, diversity and active citizenship in their own communities and around the world.
The fellowship funds 100 students to participate in month-long programs in one of five cities in Europe: Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Lyon, and Warsaw. Fellows begin the program in Washington, DC, at the Council on Foreign Relations. At the end of the one-month program abroad, the fellows attend the Humanity in Action International Conference in Warsaw. As part of the program abroad, fellows will participate in workshops/seminars and work in teams to produce publishable research. Students pay for airfare only (and can qualify for funding for that as well.)
