VSU Volleyball Cruises to Victory Over Lincoln, 3-0

Virginia State University’s volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-7, 25-15, 25-13) win over Lincoln University on Thursday, October 25th in Daniel Gymnasium in Ettrick, VA. Jenessa Shinauld (So./ Sacramento, CA) led VSU defensively with 21 digs, while Jasmine Henderson (Jr./ St. Louis, MO) had 31 assists.
Trojans Defense Holds Lincoln on Homecoming, 23-3

The Trojans’ defense did not allow Lincoln University’s offense to score any points on Homecoming 2012 in a 23-3 win for Virginia State on October, 20th. VSU’s defense recorded 5 sacks, an interception, and recovered a fumbled punt for a touchdown in the win.

Trojan Golf Opens Season With Come Back Win at VSU Trojan Fall Classic

The men’s golf team opened up their 2012-13 season with a victory at the Trojan Fall Classic Golf Tournament in Petersburg, VA at the Dogwood Trace Golf Course on October 16th. Two Trojans were named to the All-Tournament Team after a great two-days; Aaron Bryant (Jr./ Prince George, VA) and Walter Smith III (Fr./ Virginia Beach, VA).
Britt Leads Trojans to an Overtime Win Over Bowie State, 26-20

The Trojans scored ten points in the fourth quarter forcing overtime, then running back Lamont Britt (R-Fr./ Norfolk, VA) scored on a 4-yard rushing touchdown giving Virginia State a 26-20 upset win against Bowie State University on Saturday, October 13th in Bowie, MD.
Defense Leads Lady Trojans to Victory Over Elizabeth City State, 3-0

Virginia State University’s volleyball team swept Elizabeth City State University 3-0 (25-10, 25-21, 25-20) on Thursday, October 11th inside Daniel Gymnasium. The Lady Trojans played great defensively snagging 60 total digs, led by Jenessa Shinauld’s (So./ Sacramento, CA) 22 digs and Whitley Bradley (R-So./ Cibilo, TX) added 11 digs.
Lady Trojans Dig Pink Volleyball Match Set for Thursday, Oct. 11

Head women’s volleyball coach Ivana Rich and the Lady Trojans are pleased to announce their Dig Pink game to be hosted on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in Daniel Gymnasium. During the match the Lady Trojans will be hosting a pink basket raffle and bake sale to raise funds. Please support the Lady Trojans by wearing pink and supporting their fundraising efforts during their match against Elizabeth City State University.
