DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for managing the University’s Annual Fund Campaign and on-going relationships with sponsors and cultivating alumni in designated geography. Duties to include; implements administrative and donor-related activities for the Annual Fund Campaign with support of Major Gift Officers; organizes, produces, and maintains annual campaign materials and data; consult with Vice President and work closely with Major Gift Officers to strategize fundraising efforts for campaign; oversees donor database; develop and implement a strategic direct mail solicitation program that builds awareness of Annual Fund Campaign; implement annual recognition program for annual donors/volunteers; establishes fundraising goals in partnership with the Development Director and/or Associate Vice President, to include objectives with revenue projections; cultivate relationships with Alumni and Alumni Chapters in Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Delaware; serves as liaison with volunteer groups who support sports in Athletics; participate in development of special events &fundraising programs as assigned; ensure donors receive gift recognition associated with level of giving; handles and processes donated funds; and acts as spokesperson at public speaking events to include check presentations and special events.
A Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations/Marketing or related field and/or equivalent combination of training and work experience is required. Candidates must have strong organizational, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Successful candidate must have demonstrated record of meeting deadlines; demonstrated experience with editing, writing, and public speaking; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and other activities simultaneously in high volume office; and demonstrated experience preparing reports and presentations is required.
