DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach introductory level undergraduate Mathematics courses to majors and non-majors, and graduate courses in Mathematics Education. Develop undergraduate curriculum in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. Other duties include, but are not limited to: developing course curriculum as needed; consulting with the university's Division of Teacher Education providing academic advisement; participating in scholarly and research activities; and serving on departmental, school and university committees.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a doctorate degree in Mathematics Education. Current or previous (Virginia or other state) Secondary Teaching Endorsement is preferred.  The candidate must be committed to and demonstrate a record of outstanding teaching performance. The successful applicant will have the potential to or demonstrated ability to establish research programs in their area of expertise that involves undergraduate students, and a record of scholarly publications.
