VSU Welcomes Dr. Annie C. Redd

Annie C. Redd, Ed.D.We are pleased to announce that Annie C. Redd, Ed.D. will join the VSU Trojan Family as Special Assistant to the President and Liaison to the
Board of Visitors.

Dr. Redd brings to VSU more than thirty years of successful experience in higher education. She has served Bethune-Cookman University (BCU) in Daytona Beach, Florida, as Executive Assistant to the Provost, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, and as University Registrar. Currently, she serves BCU as the Senior Assistant Provost.

During her tenure at BCU, Dr. Redd has designed and implemented successful programs, policies, procedures, and support for faculty, staff,
and students in all academic areas and provided academic units with high level administrative oversight and guidance on critical projects, priorities, and initiatives. 

The Florida native holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Business Administration (Office Management) from Florida State University (Tallahassee, FL), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Leadership and Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, FL). In addition, she successfully completed the Senior Academic & Enrollment Service Professionals Program in the College of Education & Human Development at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) as part of the Peabody Professional Institute Summer Fellow Program.

Dr. Redd will bring an added dimension to the VSU administrative team and provide additional leadership to our already successful academic programs. We are fortunate to have her join our Trojan family on July 18, 2016.
