President's Leadership Retreat
Published date: August 1, 2017
President Makola M. Abdullah, Ph.D. recently held his second annual Leadership Retreat on the University’s campus. Members of President Abdullah’s leadership team along with the deans and directors participated in the two-day Retreat. During the Retreat, everyone took part in team building exercises, evaluated their strengths and weaknesses, and shared in discussions of the President’s vision for moving the University forward. For the second year in a row, President Abdullah, the leadership team, deans and directors stayed overnight in one of the residence halls. This aspect of the Retreat gave participants an opportunity to “relive” their college days and to experience residence life at Virginia State University.
“We have a great team of leaders at Virginia State University,” Abdullah said. “I am proud to work alongside them.”
