Miss Black Virginia 2020

Miss Black Virginia 2020Trojan Gabrielle Wilks was recently crowned Miss Black Virginia 2020. Wilks served as the president of the 2018-2019 Student Government Association. Wilks, who is a senior and a double major in biology and mathematics, is also a presidential scholar. In 2018, Wilks was named the Outstanding Sophomore of the Year. Additionally, Wilks represented Virginia State University at the prestigious Goldman Sachs HBCU Leadership Summit in New York City.

 This premier pageant for women of color is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1986.  The pageant seeks to provide educational opportunities to outstanding young African-American women and to develop the whole woman, mind, body, and spirit.
