Trojan Introduction Program (TIP)

Welcome and Congratulations on your acceptance to the Virginia State University!

As a new student at VSU, you are bound to have questions. The Trojan Introduction Program (TIP) is designed around you, helping to uncover the answers to the questions you have, and providing you information about campus resources, programs and services. By the time you leave TIP, you’ll be on your way to becoming a VSU Trojan.

You will learn a lot about VSU during your TIP Session. The program is an opportunity for you to learn how to navigate campus and build a network of resources that will help you to start your VSU journey on the right path. During your TIP Session you will find out more about:

  • Your schedule of classes
  • Financial aid and scholarships
  • Housing and Meal plan
  • Tutoring
  • Clubs and organizations
  • And many other campus resources!

You will also learn tips from students, faculty and staff who will serve as your guides during your time at VSU. The university Student Ambassadors will be around throughout your session, and, as current students, they are ready to answer your questions about life on campus. Come to the program with your questions about what it means to be a Trojan!

The Trojan Introduction Program also provides you with a chance to meet other incoming VSU students. Be prepared to meet new people, and to make new friends, TIP is your chance to show everyone that you are Trojan strong!

We look forward to meeting you!
